This site explores developing issues related to the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Each week there are dozens of news stories involving censorship, press rights and religious expression, and the “rules” governing the rights associated with public expression are constantly being debated and modified to keep pace with the current political climate.
The aim of this site is to pinpoint how these developments are affecting common interpretations of the rights embedded within the Amendment, and how civil liberties are gradually evolving on a larger scale.
